Hi I'm Kalli

My full name is Kalliopi Papakonstantinou but friends and family call me Kalli. I’m from Athens, Greece and I’m a qualified yoga teacher of vinyasa, yin, prenatal / postnatal and kids yoga. I’m also a qualified massage therapist and facialist with a great passion in face lifting massages. 

 

My journey in yoga started in 2010 when I was working as a journalist on a morning tv show. Stress was my second nature; I couldn’t find any ways to decompress after this high-intense job. A friend of mine proposed to me to join her for a hatha yoga class and I did! I felt in love instantly with pranayama (breathing exercises) and the ability of clearing any emotional obstacle

Life brought me in Belgium and I started a new chapter in my life. With every big change some amount of stress develops. In order to ground myself I started practicing regularly. I was following different styles of yoga but vinyasa won me over. The more I was diving into yoga, the more passionate I became to understand how the practice of yoga could impact my life.

To understand how the practice of yoga could impact my life

On September 2019 I started my first teacher training program in Antwerp Yoga with Elsie Matthijssens and Robert Fulton. What a life changer that was! That was the time that I took yoga practice completely off my mat. I became eager to explore ways I could apply basic yogic principles to everyday life in order to achieve optimal mental well-being.

 

Here I’m today having my own yoga and wellness studio since March 2021. I’m still learning mindfully through teaching, practicing and integrating methods that make me be the better version of myself every single day. Because yoga for me is to be lived and not just to be performed.

 

In my classes we learn how to move consciously; how to be mindful into our practice by paying a little more attention to each movement we do, allowing us to be more present, aware and alive in each moment. We learn how to find peace within ourselves and achieve self-acceptance.
